John Seltzer has been a member of the Michigan PGA since 2001, but has been involved with the game of golf for his entire life. John has had held positions at facilities across Michigan. He’s been the Director of Golf at The Polo Fields Golf and Country Club in Ann Arbor, the Director of Golf at Oak Pointe CC in Brighton Michigan and the Director of Golf at Blythefield Country Club in Belmont, Michigan. In 2019 John decided to pursue his passion of instruction by starting the Seltzer Golf School at Quail Ridge Golf Club in Ada, Michigan.
John has a passion for playing competitive events and has enjoyed success in his career. John is a past champion of the Michigan PGA, a two time champion of the Michigan PGA Match play, a multiple player of the year in both the Eastern Chapter and Western Chapter of the Michigan PGA and is an 14 time qualifier for our National PGA Championship.
During John’s career he has worked with hundreds of golfers of all abilities. He currently works with a large number of high school players, collegiate players, fellow professionals and a wide range of players of all abilities. John is not a “system” coach although he believes in a few fundamental truths. Since each player has different physical abilities, he works with each person’s natural motion to help that player optimize their abilities.
